Grown on Costa Rica's rich, fertile volcanic soils, the diverse topography gives way to the micro climates which help to delicately alter the flavours of the coffees grown on the many individual fincas (coffee farms) giving the soft, nutty flavours characteristic of fine Costa Rican coffees. The coffee is washed and sundried on patios and kept in 'pergamino' until just prior to shipment to keep the colours and flavours at their pinnacle.
