This is a fantastic Lapsang Souchong Superior grade tea from the Fujian province of China.
Lapsang Souchong tea has a strong distinctive flavour which is created in smoke houses by withering the leaves over pine fires, pan-fired, rolled and oxidized before being fully dried in bamboo baskets over the smoking pine.
Not many people sit on the fence with a good Lapsang, love it or hate it, this tea has a clean, smooth, smoky taste.
